This beautiful limited run metheglin is made only once a year after the Alberta Wild Rose petals have been gathered by hand by Eric and Kristeva. It takes many days of foraging to acquire enough petals to make a batch of this specialty mead. It is not only a labor of love but also one of our favorites to make. Each year we look forward to the budding of the roses.

The gentle floral aroma of freshly bloomed roses and strawberries evokes a romantic and relaxed atmosphere. Simple yet seductive.

PALATE

Crisp and refreshing, a subtle sweetness caresses the palate leaving behind a graceful and lingering essence reminiscent of a stroll through a fragrant rose garden. Anticipate notes of raspberry, rose and watermelon with hints rhubarb, cardamom, balsamic-spice, and honeyed roses that lead you down the path of a long luscious finish.

NOTES 

The perfect patio, poolside or picnic pairing, this mead is incredibly versatile. Try pairing with simple fare such as chicken, pizza, fresh Caprese salad, melon and prosciutto, or goats' cheese on a spinach and strawberry salad.
